Our annual Donation Day was a success!
Thank you for helping us improve the lives of others through our annual Donation Day. On this day, we raised over $12,000. The monies will be donated to five separate charities based on each Branch’s sales on our Donation Day, October 17th.
Here are the organizations you helped us support by placing your order on Donation Day and why each of our Branches selected them:
Winnipeg: The Children’s Hospital Foundation of Manitoba
The Children’s Hospital Foundation is part of the Children’s Hospital at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg. Its mission is to improve children’s health everywhere and ensure that every child treated at HSC Winnipeg Children’s Hospital has the best care and experience possible.
Our Winnipeg Branch has chosen this foundation due to its commitment to improving the lives and future of our children. HSC Winnipeg cares for children not only in Winnipeg but throughout the whole province and neighbouring provinces. With Winnipeg also servicing customers throughout Manitoba and our two border provinces, we thought the Children’s Hospital Foundation was the most appropriate recipient of our donation.

Saskatoon: Sanctum 1.5
Sanctum 1.5 is a 10-bed parental care home that works preventively to meet women’s health and social needs more effectively and efficiently. Its mission is to improve the health and well-being of mom and baby while mitigating the risks associated with apprehensions at birth.
Our Saskatoon Branch has chosen this foundation as one employee’s family member spent six months in their care, receiving the support and guidance she needed to get healthy. The support this person received was phenomenal, and we know that the donation will help other families in the community.

Edmonton: Mental Health Foundation Alberta
The Mental Health Foundation in Edmonton is the only foundation of its kind in Alberta. They are tasked with working to support, enhance, and transform mental health and care through philanthropy. They identify where change is needed in mental health care and raise funds to mobilize resources in an effort to improve outcomes within Alberta’s addiction and mental health care system.
Our Edmonton Branch has chosen this foundation as mental health affects all of us in one way or another. We want to donate to this foundation to help fund different programs and initiatives to help those struggling with mental health issues and to help bring more awareness.

Calgary: Renfrew Educational Services
Renfrew Educational Services is a registered Canadian charity and designated Special Education School in the province of Alberta. Since 1974, they have welcomed families and children with significant special needs, including diagnoses such as Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Global Development Delays.
Our Calgary Branch has chosen this charity because an employee has a son who attends the school and has experienced fantastic staff support. Because the kids have more access to one-on-one attention compared to regular schools, their son’s speaking, motor skills, and emotional maturity have improved since attending.

Vancouver: phs Community Services Society
phs provides housing to individuals who are poorly served and vulnerable due to their physical health, mental health, behavioural issues, substance dependencies, forensic history and those who are homeless. Its services are for anyone in need of them, providing housing without preconditions to this demographic.
Our Vancouver Branch has chosen this charity due to its amazing work at solving social issues in Vancouver’s downtown eastside. They know this donation will help phs continue to improve the lives of those in this community.
